I thought I would try to write this in the blog as I think this is a great place to communicate.
I have two questions for everyone. First, do you think Dad should be driving? I know this is easy for me to ask from here and the implications are most impactful for Sally/Doug et al. But I just wanted to see where everyone is. I know the medical community does not support us on this. Regardless we need to ask ourselves whether this is safe from our perspective.
Second, should we be preparing Mom and Dad for moving to the "big house"? They really love they home, especially the new deck. The issue is not what is going on right now, but may happen in the future. We prepared them for this move to Springhill, should we be doing the same now?
Mom and Dad were great in Stone Harbor, so I am not raising these issues in reaction to seeing them. Simply I feel a bit disconnected from all of you on these issues.

Bart, We have an appointment with Dr.Esper Friday for Dad to get the results of all his testing. Maybe we should wait to see what comes of this appointment. I know Dad doesn't do much driving he let's the Erie people do most of there transportation and say isn't it nice to have a driver. About the big House Mom this weekend out of the blue told me not to talk about moving to the big house to Dad. She said it's very upsetting to him right now and she would let us know when we should introduce the idea again. Bart sorry we missed you at the shore but had a really nice visit with Maddie and Myles you should be very proud of them they were wonderful with everyone. Sally
Thanks Bart and Sally for documenting this! Bart, I apologize for not telling you about a conversation that we (Sally, Chuck, Doug, Nina and me) had with Mom and Dad at the end of the NJ vacation. Mom seemed very open to the 'big house' idea but it was obvious that Dad was not at all there. He promised that he would continue the conversation if the time seemed right. From Sally's comment, it looks like we need to have Mom direct us. I really feel that if Mom talks to him and gets to the point that she wants to move, he definitely would do it.
Bart, I ditto Sally's comments about Myles and Maddie!
